The link for the Directory is located on the NIU home page, www.niu.edu
The Directory can be used to find contact information for students, faculty, staff, and departments at NIU. In addition, the directory can be used to change your e-mail alias and personal information. By default, student telephone numbers and addresses are hidden from the directory. Students can make this information public by logging into the directory and editing their profile. The e-mail alias can be changed by logging in and selecting “Self Service” from the top menu, then selecting “request resource” and choosing the appropriate selection.
Full name refers to first and last name. Victor E. Huskie would be Victor Huskie.
Wild cards may be used.
Ex.) v* huskie or * Huskie
If too many records are found in a search, it will return an error message. Add more information to narrow the search. Use the wild card to assist you.
Enter the department name. Partial name entries may return several records.
Ex.) Searching “Reg” produces two records - Regional History Center and Registration and Records, Office of
Wildcards are acceptable.
Ex.) “Registration *” and “* records” both return the department name of Registration and Records.
