Student employees are automatically assigned an administrative AccountID (A-ID) and a GroupWise e-mail account. Student employees must use their A-ID, not their Z-ID, while at work and when accessing departmental (or Enterprise) systems. Student employees are not automatically given space to store files on the departmental server. A-IDs are intended for work purposes only, not academic or personal use.
Staff can go to password.niu.edu to look up accounts and set up credentials (verification questions) that will allow them to change their password, or to reset their password if they have forgotten it.
NOTE: Student e-mail and GroupWise e-mail accounts are separate and independent. Your alias (see glossary or Student E-Mail section) will remain routed to your student account.
