Only use the Maestro phone provided. Other phones may not work in the room. Do not use cordless phones; they can cause the line to appear busy even after a call is ended, so that no other calls may be made to the room until Telecommunications repairs the line.

Slide panel to right for OPTIONS key. Options include Language, Time & Date, Ring Tone/Volume, Timer, Contrast, Clear Message Waiting, Area Code, and Callers List. Slide the panel with the NIUTEL logo to the right to reveal the OPTIONS key. Press the OPTIONS key. To move through the list, use the right or left arrow keys, or press the number for the option desired. To change an option, follow the instructions on the display.
Press this button to access or exit the Callers List. The Callers List logs the last 25 incoming calls. Use the Star (*) key to move through the list.
Dials the number shown on the display.
Places the call on hold.
This key is not programmed to function at this time.
Use Save and Shift to save frequently called numbers on the Memory Keys numbered in blue, 1-4. To store a number, press the SAVE key, then the SHIFT key and the desired memory key. Enter the number and the name you wish to store. Press the SAVE key again. To use the Memory keys, press SHIFT and the memory key where the desired number is stored.
Calls back the last number that called you. To activate, lift the receiver and wait for dialtone. Then press the CALL RETURN key.
Redials a number for you and lets you know when the line is free. To activate, lift the receiver and wait for dialtone. Press the REPEAT DIAL button. If the line is busy, follow the recorded instructions. A Distinctive Ring will notify you when the line is free.
A tone alerts you to another incoming call from off campus. It will also be shown on the display. When you hear the tone, press the FLASH button to put your first call on hold and take the second call. Press the FLASH button to switch between calls.
Talk to two people in two other locations at the same time. To set up a 3-WAY CALL, dial the first number. After your party answers, press the 3-WAY CALL button. When you hear the dialtone, dial the second number. Your first call is now on hold. When the second call answers, press the 3-WAY CALL button again to connect all three. Press the 3-WAY CALL button twice to disconnect the second call if that person doesn’t answer. You will return to the first call.
To program the Messages button, press the SAVE button, the press MESSAGES. Use the keypad to enter your voicemail access number, and press SAVE button again. When you have messages, simply obtain dialtone and press the MESSAGES button. Continue by following the voice prompts.
